Log growing is one of the oldest and most sustainable ways to cultivate mushrooms — an outdoor project that can be started at any time of year. In this 45-minute session, you’ll learn how to set up your own log for long-term harvests.

  • Step-by-step demo of inoculating a hardwood log with Shiitake dowels
  • What to look for during colonisation and fruiting

How the workshops run:

All courses are delivered via Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you have an active account and access before the session. Each demonstration lasts 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A where you can post questions in the comments box. Courses are demonstration-based rather than interactive. All participants will be asked to remain on mute during the session. While each workshop is unique, some basic mushroom information may overlap across sessions.

Delivery & access:

Your kit will be dispatched 4 days before the workshop. You’ll receive a dispatch notification directly from us or Yodel.  Your Teams link will be emailed 48 hours before the workshop.

Cancellations & Refunds:

You may cancel your place up to 14 days before the workshop for a full refund.  Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop are eligible for a 25% refund.  Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if you contact us after the event.  To cancel, please email enquiries@caleybrothers.co.uk.
