What makes this kit different is the ease of the process, using hardwood pellets for straightforward inoculation, alongside a unique voucher code inside. This allows the recipient to choose the mushroom variety they’d like to grow, whenever they’re ready. We focus on UK-native varieties, including Grey, Pale and Tarragon Oyster mushrooms, as well as Coral Tooth.

Once the voucher is redeemed, we send freshly prepared mushroom spawn directly from our farm in West Sussex, along with clear instructions and ongoing support. From there, they can expect to harvest their own gourmet mushrooms in as little as 5–6 weeks.

Key Details

Each kit contains ready-to-mix FSC hardwood pellets, full growing instructions, and a unique code to redeem fresh mushroom spawn (like the seeds of a mushroom). Once home, customers or recipients choose one of three mushroom varieties to grow, removing the need for in-store decision-making. Fresh spawn is ordered online at no extra cost. We ship spawn from our farm in West Sussex within two working days of receiving the order, ensuring a fast and reliable service. Once the spawn arrives, our clear step-by-step instructions guide customers through the growing process using all included materials. After a 21-day rest, mushrooms begin to grow - ready to harvest in just 3-4 weeks. The full cycle takes as little as 6-8 weeks

What to Expect

With simple step by step instructions included in the kit, a simple matter of adding spawn and cold water to wood pellet mix, and successfully harvesting mushrooms within 6-8 weeks of redeeming their in-kit voucher.
