Grow your own Oyster mushrooms in your own vase. Using hardwood pellets, some water, fresh spawn and your own vase/mason jar/homemade ceramics, you can grow mushroom in any container! Let us guide you through this simple process to create areal feature in your home.

Our Vase project kit is a wonderful project for anyone wanting to learn more about growing mushrooms. You can choose to grow either grey or pink oyster mushrooms with this project.

At Caley Brothers HQ, we like to show you how easy it is to get going stunning mushrooms amongst your own vases, ceramics or ornaments.

As part of your Vase Grow Kit, we send out the freshest grain spawn - this will need to be kept stored correctly until you’re ready to make your kit - see details below. 

We give you guidance and support to get you growing your 1st flush.

Vases on display are by @adamceramic - any vase up to 1 litre can be used, we advise using a vase with a narrower opening.

Important Information

Use by date:
The spawn within your kit must be stored and used within its recommended guidelines

Storage: 
Grey Oyster - keep refrigerated and use within 4 weeks.
Pink Oyster - keep cool but do not refrigerate, use within 5 days or receipt.

Growing notes: 
During the inoculation period of 21 days, store in a dark cupboard at around 18oC.  While growing keep in a bright spot but out of direct sunlight and remember to water daily –

What’s Inside Your Kit

250g of fresh spawn on grain, wood pellets, plastic grow bag, full set of growing instruction and growing guidance, sticker and branded sleeve.  

Following the instructions and staying within the suggested guidelines, this will give you a very good chance of a successful crop of mushrooms. After your first flush, you can try for a second or third flush.
