Grow your own Grey Oyster mushrooms on your own coffee grounds. Our kits give you all you need to grow and harvest your own crop of Grey Oyster Mushrooms on freshly brewed coffee grounds.

Oyster mushrooms thrive on coffee grounds and this kit is a wonderful project for anyone wanting to learn more about growing mushrooms.  Our Coffee Grow Kit comes with everything you need to get growing; you just need to collect the coffee.  

At Caley Brothers HQ, we grow Oyster Mushrooms on used coffee grounds on a commercial scale, and it’s an amazing journey to be on, saving waste from landfill to grow food.  So here we have created a small-scale kit to give you a taste of growing mushrooms from scratch.

As part of your Coffee Grow Kit, we send out the freshest grain spawn – this will need to be kept refrigerated until you’re ready to make your kit - to give you the best chances of growing this will need to be kept refrigerated and used within 4 weeks.    

We guarantee to get you growing your 1st flush, you can follow the instructions to try for a second or third flush. You can grow up to 150g of fresh Grey Oyster Mushrooms over 2 harvests.

Important Information

Use by date: The spawn within your kit must be used within 4 weeks from receipt. 

Storage: Please keep your spawn refrigerated till ready to use.

During the inoculation period of 21 days store in a dark cupboard at around 18oC.  While growing keep in a bright spot but out of direct sunlight and remember to water daily –

PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED. Inside your kit: 100g of fresh spawn on grain, plastic grow bag, full set of growing instruction and growing guidance, sticker, postage box and branded sleeve.

* We post 48 hour tracked with YODEL. On the date of collection you will receive an email from us, and then an email from YODEL confirming receipt and a tracking number. We will endeavour to inform you of any delays out of our control.

If you do not state a preferred dispatch date we will post at the first available date.

We are unable to ship our mushroom products internationally.

On occasion we will post via Royal Mail 48 hour tracked, on these instances you will receive and email from us when your item/s have been shipped.

Please allow 3-5 days for delivery and contact us within a 7-10 days if you have note received your items.

Additional information

Recycling your kit: All paper and card can be recycled with your standard card recycling.  The plastic bag can be cleaned and recycled with your soft plastic recycling.  Your coffee grounds and used substate block can be composted or disposed of along with your normal food waste.
