Postage, our delivery policy &

POSTAGE:

  • All orders will be dispatched 2-4 days after we have received your order, via Yodel with a 48-hour tracked service once collected from the farm.

    Our order cut off is 12 noon - any orders after this time will be dispatched on our next collection day.

  • All prices include delivery - excluding Highlands, Islands and Northern Island - please see details below.

  • We ship orders using YODEL 48-hour tracked service. On the date of collection, you will receive an email from us confirming dispatch, followed by an email from YODEL with your tracking number.

  • If you have specific delivery preferences, such as requiring the courier to ring the doorbell or leaving your parcel in a safe place, we strongly advise that you update your delivery preferences directly with YODEL via their tracking portal to ensure they follow your instructions.

  • Important Notes:

    • While we will pass your preferences to the courier, we cannot guarantee their compliance.

    • Once an item is marked as delivered, we cannot be held liable for loss or theft if the parcel is left unattended.

  • Christmas Orders - We are process all orders within 24 hours, using a 48-hour postal service until the 20th December. While we will do our best to get items to you as quickly as possible, we can’t guarantee delivery before 24th December.

  • Last ‘Guarantee Delivery’ for Christmas orders are dispatched at 12 noon on Thursday 17th December 2026.

Alternative Shipping:
Occasionally, we may use Royal Mail 48-hour tracked service. In these cases, you will receive an email from us with shipping confirmation and tracking details.

Delivery Times:

  • Please allow 3–5 working days for delivery once you have received your dispatch email.

  • If your items have not arrived within 7–10 days, please contact us immediately.

  • Important: We are unable to track or ensure safe delivery of items after 21 days from the dispatch date. If the courier marks an item as delivered, we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft.

Additional Notes:

  • We are unable to ship our mushroom products internationally.

  • We will notify you of any delays outside of our control.

POSTAGE CHARGES for Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland Delivery:
A £3 delivery charge applies to orders shipped to the following areas:

  • Highlands: Includes postcodes starting with IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, and ZE.

  • Islands: Covers Scottish islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, and the Channel Islands.

  • Northern Ireland: All BT postcodes.

This surcharge accounts for the additional logistical costs associated with delivering to these remote or offshore locations.

Delivery Policy

We rely on third-party couriers to deliver your orders safely and on time. Please note that some couriers may leave parcels at your door without ringing the doorbell.

While we will communicate your preferences to the courier, we cannot guarantee their compliance. If you have concerns about delivery security, we recommend choosing a secure location for your parcel and communicating this with the courier directly noting your tracking number.

We are unable to track or ensure safe delivery of items after 21 days from the dispatch date. If the courier marks an item as delivered, we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft.

We are not liable for parcels that are marked as delivered but are lost or stolen after being left unattended.

If you have specific delivery preferences, such as requiring the courier to ring the doorbell or leaving your parcel in a safe place, we strongly advise that you update your delivery preferences directly with YODEL via their tracking portal to ensure they follow your instructions.

We dispatch all orders using the address provided by the customer and cannot accept responsibility for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address details.

On the off chance a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address entered at checkout, we are happy to offer one of the following options:

•⁠ ⁠Resend the order to the correct address (additional postage costs will apply).

•⁠ ⁠Provide a credit note / voucher code to the value of the order (excluding the original delivery charge*), which can be used to place a replacement order.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or a credit note where an order has been delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout.

All cases are reviewed individually and the available options, postage costs will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.

We’re a small, family-run company, and we take pride in getting things right. If we ever make a mistake with your order, we’ll always fix it and make sure you get the best from our products.

At Caley Brothers, we hand-make all our Ready to Grow Kits to order. Using only the freshest materials, we allow each kit to inoculate for 21 days before shipping. This ensures that when your kit arrives, it’s in the optimal condition for you to grow the best mushrooms possible.

We know this careful process comes with some limitations, such as not always having surplus stock available for immediate dispatch. However, it’s this attention to detail that guarantees a superior product.

Over the years, we’ve heard too many stories of failed growing attempts with kits purchased from large online retailers - often due to their age or improper storage. By hand-making small batches and shipping on reduced dates, we ensure you receive a fresh, high-quality kit that’s absolutely ready to grow.

Future Post-Out Dates

Our farm maintains a steady production schedule, and we ship kits when they’re ready. Here are our upcoming post-out dates:

Christmas Deliveries 2026:

We will publish our Pre-Order options for Christmas delivery in September. These will be dispatched 14 days before Christmas, to ensure you receive healthy kits ready to grow and gift over the festive season.

All other orders:

  • Last orders w/c 8th December

  • Tuesday, 16th December (Last chance for Christmas post-out date if gifting)

Other Products

Items like our mushroom powders, log kits, and smaller project kits (coffee, book, seed pot, and vase growing kits) may be available between the main post-out dates. If you need something sooner, feel free to email us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
