RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival 2022-2023

To be asked to host a stall at the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival as a real privilege.  Having grown up in the heart of Molesey ourselves and Molesey was also where the original Caley Brothers first began back in the 1950’s, so this was a really special, and emotional event for us.

Our pitch was located within the Grow At Home zone and overlook the Kitchen Garden by Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall.  It offered us a wonderful platform to be able to talk about mushrooms, mushroom growing, and to be able to sell our grow at home kits.  We designed our stall as an accessible info point, allowing customers to visit and find out more about growing mushrooms, our aim being to dispel as many myths as about mushroom growing as possible and to encourage people to get growing themselves.

We held several kit demonstrations on the Market Theatre Stage coupled with an extensive question and answer session hosted by BBC’s charming Joe Talbot.  We were also invited to join Leigh Johnstone aka The Beardy Gardener at the floral marque’s ‘Potting Bench’ in a Grow Through What You Go Through Q&A session, where we talked about our story, why we started growing and how it’s helped our mental health after the loss of our parents.

What a home coming, and wouldn’t our parents have been proud - we can’t wait to return again this year.
