Description
Grow your own Shiitake mushrooms with our indoor, ready to grow large kit.
Our kits give you all you need to grow and harvest your own crop of delicious Shiitake mushrooms within just a few weeks of opening. See our growing instructions HERE.
Your kit will need to be chilled when you receive it, if you are not intending to grow straight away. You grow kit will be fine out of the fridge for a day or two if gifting or while in transit.
Shiitake mushrooms are easy to grow. They have an intense mushroom flavour and are brilliantly versatile in all areas of cooking. You can keep your kit in a light and airy spot where you’ll remember to water it once a day and watch it grow. They don’t need to be grown in the dark – kept indoors, in a kitchen is the perfect environment – giving them the right light and temperature to thrive.
We make hand-make all our kits in small batches at our farm in West Sussex, to ensure you receive the freshest ready-to-grow kit with the very best chance of a successful great yield.

Your kit will need to be opened within 3-4 days of receipt. If you’re not ready to grow straight away, you can keep your kit in the fridge. We guarantee to get you growing your 1st flush. You can grow up to 500g of fresh Shiitake Mushrooms.

All prices include delivery - excluding Highlands, Islands and Northern Island where a £3 delivery charge applies.
We ship orders using YODEL 48-hour tracked service. On the date of collection, you will receive an email from us confirming dispatch, followed by an email from YODEL with your tracking number.
If you have specific delivery preferences, such as requiring the courier to ring the doorbell or leaving your parcel in a safe place,we strongly advise that you update your delivery preferences directly with YODEL via their tracking portal to ensure they follow your instructions.
Important Notes:
While we can pass delivery preferences to the courier, we cannot guarantee their compliance.
Once an item is marked as delivered, we cannot be held liable for loss or theft if the parcel is left unattended.
Alternative Shipping:
Occasionally, we may use Royal Mail 48-hour tracked service. In these cases, you will receive an email from us with shipping confirmation and tracking details.
Delivery Times:
Please allow 3–5 working days for delivery once you have received your dispatch email.
If your items have not arrived within 7–10 days, please contact us immediately.
Important: We are unable to track or ensure safe delivery of items after 21 days from the dispatch date. If the courier marks an item as delivered, we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft.

Use by dates: Your Shiitake Mushroom kit must be opened within a week from receipt.
Storage: Please keep refrigerated until ready to use. While growing keep in a bright spot but out of direct sunlight and remember to water daily – PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS VIA THE QR CODE PROVIDED - you can find a copy HERE.
Inside your kit: fully colonized substrate block, full set of growing instruction and growing guidance, outer bag and branded collar. Recycling your kit: All paper and card can be recycled with your standard card recycling. The plastic bag can be cleaned and recycled with your soft plastic recycling. The outer bag and substrate block can be composted or disposed of along with your normal food waste.
